Best Burgers in St. Louis
Best Burgers in St. Louis, Ranked by Someone Who's Tried Them All
I've closed enough deals near enough burger joints to have opinions. Here are my seven.
Mac's Local Eats (Shaw) — The smash burger to beat. Crispy lacey edges, the Gooey Garlic is a must. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Hi-Pointe Drive-In — Smash burgers with unusual toppings, plus a shake list that could stand alone.
O'Connell's Pub — The old-school standard. Thick, juicy, no gimmicks.
Stacked STL — The Wet Nap, ground chuck and braised brisket, might be the best burger in the city.
Jack Nolen's — No-frills neighborhood bar with a great smash and even better topped fries.
Farm Spirit (Midtown) — A double-patty smashburger paired with Blue Jay Brewing lagers.
Salt + Smoke — Bacon and beef, barbecue-house style. The St. Charles patio makes it a whole afternoon.
Ask me for my current top pick when we're touring, I update this list more than I'd like to admit.
